Nanchang University (NCU) and Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) have established the joint undergraduate program since 2013, leading to the award of two degrees, a bachelor of science in biomedical sciences (QMUL) and a bachelor of medicine in clinical medicine (NCU) after five years of study. The joint program is delivered by staff from both NCU Medical College and Queen Mary University of London. To further boost the research-lead teaching, the two universities have initiated the NCU-QMUL Joint Research Institute of Biomedical Sciences that comprise faculty from both universities.
NCU is located in Nanchang, which is the capital of Jiangxi Province and one of the most dynamic cities in China. The University is a comprehensive university that is listed in the “National Initiatives on the World First-class Disciplines of Double First-Class Universities” in China, the “211 Project” national key university. NCU-QMUL Joint Research Institute of Biomedical Sciences is set up within the campus of Nanchang University Jiangxi Medical College. The Joint Research Institute aims to facilitate and build upon the collaboration between clinicians and non-clinical researchers. Thus, we now seek principal investigators to join the Joint Research Institute who will be able to take advantage of the excellent resources and scientific specialties available from both Universities. Principal investigators will also have opportunities to work at both sites on short term exchanges on collaborative projects.
