China's many hopeful graduates take their place in a booming research landscape.
It will come as no surprise to anyone that China's rapidly growing contribution to high-quality research outshines all other nations. Meanwhile, the contribution to research of the United States,a stronghold in the Nature Index, has dropped since 2012.
