Black in Cancer Research and Oncology

 

 

This webinar is focused on the challenges of Black researchers and patients within the cancer field. Doctors Fiyinfolu and Onyinye Balogun (perhaps better known as the Onc Docs) discuss the Black patient experience in endometrial cancer. Dr Brandon Blue talks about his work in reducing disparities in the treatment of plasma cell dyscasias, and Dr Kilan Ashad-Bishop discusses her role in building STEMNoire, a research and wellness community dedicated to Black women in the STEM fields. Runcie Chidebe discusses his work as the executive director of Project PINK BLUE, a non-profit organisation which provides cancer advocacy and oncology training in Nigeria. This webcast took place on September 28th, 2023 and was hosted by Kathryn McGinnis, Paraskevi Mallini (both Nature Communications) and Lisa Hoffmann-Haas (Nature Cancer).
