Susan R. Orenstein  

Susan Orenstein obtained her M.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and did her Pediatric Residency at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland. She began her investigative career studying pediatric esophageal motility with a focus on gastroesophageal reflux disease during her research fellowship at the University of Tennessee Center for Health Sciences in Memphis with Peter Whitington. Her several hundred publications concentrate on studies of pediatric esophageal pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment. She is currently Professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
