Roy C. Orlando is Professor of Medicine and Physiology, Chief of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Director of the Center for Esophageal and Swallowing Disorders at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, LA. A Cum Laude graduate of Georgetown Medical School and international expert in esophageal disease, he has written over 100 publications and 35 book chapters. His NIH funded research has achieved MERIT status and he received an AGA-Janssen Award for 'Sustained Achievement in Research in Digestive Disease'. Dr Orlando, as educator, has received awards from trainees, and, as clinician, is listed for GI among the 'Best Doctors In America'.
