About the Journal
Communications Chemistry is an open access journal from Nature Research publishing high-quality research, reviews and commentary in all areas of the chemical sciences. Research papers published by the journal represent significant advances bringing new chemical insight to a specialized area of research.
Communications Chemistry complements the other Nature Research journals by providing an open access option for chemists while applying less stringent criteria for impact and significance than the Nature-branded journals, including Nature Communications. All Nature Research journals, including Communications Chemistry, apply the same criteria for technical validity and adherence to ethical standards. More information about editorial policies at Nature Research can be found at http://www.nature.com/authors/policies/index.html.

Abstracting and indexing
As with any new journal, full indexing takes some time. Communications Chemistry is applying for inclusion within services including Clarivate Analytics Science Citation Index and Scopus, as well as chemistry-specific portals such as ScifFinder and Reaxys. We will update the journal web site to keep authors and readers up to date with the services the journal is indexed within.
Communications Chemistry is currently indexed in:
- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
- Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)
- Google Scholar
The correct abbreviation for abstracting and indexing purposes is Commun. Chem.
Communications Chemistry articles that are deemed especially newsworthy may be press released, to a registered list, by our press office. Journalists wishing to receive press releases while papers are still under embargo should contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
