Scope: While definitions vary, the concept of global governance is often taken to refer to collective efforts to identify, understand and address worldwide challenges arising from the effects of globalisation. Global governance is often seen as a way of confronting and solving problems that have become too complex and unyielding for a single state to tackle alone. Such challenges might include humanitarian crises, military conflicts, climate change, economic volatility, and terrorism - to name but a few.
Featuring contributions from a diverse range of vantage points, this article collection explores the concept and practice of global governance, including the values, rules and norms, procedures, policies, and organisations that underpin it.
