Collection

Autonomic Standards

We are pleased to bring to you a collection of papers related to the autonomic concerns of persons with Spinal Cord Injury. The recovery of autonomic function has tended to be overlooked with the focus instead being on the recovery of motor and sensory function after Spinal Cord Injury. However, it is important, as emphasized via the publication International Standards for the Recovery of Autonomic Function, that these are also considered when treating persons with Spinal Cord Injury. Through this collection of papers, accompanied by an Editorial from Spinal Cord Series and Cases' Editor-in-Chief, Marcalee Alexander, we hope to highlight the use of various components of the standards and nuances of utilizing them.
