  Embracing new medicine

He Jiang, then a doctoral student in biochemistry, became the first Chinese citizen ever to give a commencement speech at the historic Ivy League institution. A boy from a village in central China, He’s path to discovery — using single-virus tracking, super-resolution imaging (STORM) to understand more about how influenza infects cells — started at USTC.
