Micro- and nano-systems for cell analysis
Micro- and nano-technologies are proving increasingly valuable for gleaning insights into cellular behavior. These technologies reside at the intersection of multiple disciplines ranging from materials and surface science to microfluidics, cell biology and nanotechnology. In this special topic, we have compiled exciting papers covering a wide spectrum of applications for micro- and nano-systems: sub-cellular analysis, single cells analysis, analysis of chemotaxis in an ensemble of cells as well as fabrication of artificial tissues.
