The publication of this 4th Fribourg Obesity Research Conference on the theme of ‘dysfunctional foods’ coincides with a recent proposal of the European Union to spend 90 million euros yearly to provide free fruits and vegetables to schools across the continent in a drive to curb childhood obesity.
