Focus on Endocrinology
Our knowledge of the underlying genetic basis of many endocrinological disorders has expanded greatly with widespread application of genomic analysis. Research regarding a wide variety of endocrine conditions, as well as the diagnosis and care of patients with such disorders is now greatly influenced by the results of genomic analysis. Genetics in Medicine strives to be the “go-to” journal for matters that lie at the intersection of Genetics and Endocrinology. Recent publications in GIM demonstrate the breadth of endocrine conditions that are informed by genomic analysis, including short stature, abnormalities of sexual development, pituitary deficiency, hypogonadism, infertility and diabetes. Turn to Genetics in Medicine for up to date manuscripts that impact the care of endocrine patients and the pursuit of endocrine research.
