Fish biodiversity and evolution

Submission status
Open
Submission deadline

Fish exhibit considerable biodiversity in genetics, morphology and behaviour that has been shaped by environmental factors such as habitat variation, climate fluctuations, and geological events. By examining fossil records, molecular data, and comparative morphometry, research has traced the evolutionary trajectories of different fish groups, uncovering insights into their adaptive radiations, speciation events, and biogeographic patterns.

This Collection welcomes original research investigating diversity and its ecological drivers within the fish paraphyly.
