Data structures and ontologies for clinical and medical research
Submission status
Open
Submission deadline
Widely adopted data standards, such as BIDS (Brain Imaging Data Structure), ensure consistency and reproducibility by defining unified formats for the organisation of diverse clinical and medical datasets. Medical ontologies can likewise play a key role in standardising terminology, facilitating data integration and analyses. Both fields have the capacity to improve data interoperability, biomedical research and patient care.
This Collection aims to give recognition to new research and developments in these areas, and welcomes the submission of Data Descriptors and Articles.
