Synthesizing biodiversity science

Multiple disciplines across ecology, evolution, and conservation biology provide fundamental knowledge needed to understand and address the global crisis of biodiversity loss. Progress toward ambitious biodiversity goals requires effective synthesis of the vast and growing primary literature. Nature Reviews Biodiversity, launching in January 2025, will publish impactful reviews and commentary bringing together knowledge about biodiversity’s origins, distributions, threats, and conservation priorities. This collection of content from across the Nature Portfolio offers a preview of the subject breadth that our monthly issues will contain.
