Artificial organs

Submission status

Submission deadline

In recent years, advances in bioengineering technology – and artificial organs – has provided us with ways to circumvent the myriad issues with transplantation of biological materials. Artificial organs are implantable devices which mimic the function, and often form, of biological organs, with the aim to significantly improve the length or quality of life of the recipients.

This Collection invites research into new methods applicable to improving artificial organs, or studies assessing their function.
