Neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, are a devastating group of disorders, in which neurons are progressively and irrecoverably lost. We still do not fully understand the mechanisms that underlie neurodegeneration, and despite the prevalence of these disorders, there are no known cures. This collection comprises research across the field of neurodegeneration, from papers that look into the biology of these conditions, to those investigating potential routes of intervention.
