In celebration of International Women's Day this year, we have put together a collection of papers by some prominent female geneticists who have published in Heredity. Rolanda de Matos
Published 2 linked manuscripts in Heredity in 1984. She started her graduation in Biological Sciences at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) in 1943, one year after the first woman was awarded a PhD in Biology and at a time when women in Academia were very rare in that country.
