10th Anniversary of LSA: Collection on Special Optics
2022 marks the 10th anniversary of Light: Science & Applications (LSA). In the past decade, LSA has published hundreds of outstanding researches covering the fundamentals and applications in all areas of optics and photonics. From those published papers, we have picked some on Special Optics to share with you, our readers. We hope this collection can stimulate more researches and practices in related fields, and promote further progress in optics and photonics research.
The article reports a technique to characterize, inside a sample, ultrafast probe pulses with weak intensity: zero delay, optimal compression, pulse front tilt. The measurement is non-destructive, valid for all wavelengths and polarizations.
The formulation of two-photon orbital angular momentum state within a thermal light enables the revelation of its hidden quantumness with non-zero quantum discord and a proposal of teleporting an image.
