This supplement is a compendium of research conducted by research teams working on diabetic retinopathy programmes in Sub-Saharan African countries that are members of The Diabetic Retinopathy Network (DR-NET).
The research questions and methodologies have been prioritized by clinical and research teams working on the delivery of DR services and respond to relevant gaps in knowledge a programme activities conducted in those settings. This supplement offers context specific research to inform the planning and implementation DR screening and treatment programmes in similar settings.
