In recent years, HFNL has been in the spotlight for developing the world’s first sub-nanometre Raman imaging, single-protein spin resonance spectroscopy, satellite quantum communication, and the fastest quantum computers. The interdisciplinary laboratory provides solutions at the microscale to strategic emerging fields; nanotechnology, biotechnology, information technology, and cognitive science (NBIC). Launched in 2003, it aims to bring together the best resources of the University of Science and Technology of China.
