On December 17th, Professor William G. (Bill) Hill passed away at his home in Edinburgh at the age of 81. Bill was one of the world’s leading population and quantitative geneticists, not only of his own generation, but with lasting impacts until the present. He has inspired multiple generations of young scientists and his seminal work continues to be widely cited today. This was reflected in award of the Mendel Medal by the Genetics Society in 2019. The collection below includes papers that Bill has published himself in Heredity over the past 50 years, along with papers published in Heredity in the past two years that have cited some of his seminal work.
