This Collection brings together top-ranked research papers published in 2020, including the winner of the npj Breast Cancer 2020 Outstanding Paper Award!
Papers published in 2020 were shortlisted based on a combination of article metrics, as well as nominations from the journal’s editorial team. Each paper on the shortlist was then ranked independently by 2 judges from the judging panel based on the following criteria: creativity to solve a problem, novelty of the research, and impact on the field. These individual rankings were then used to determine the winner.
