OsteoBiol TSV Gel has thermo-gelling properties that provide stability to Gen-Os granules and adhesion for membranes, says Trycare.

This viscous TSV collagen gel binds graft particulates, aids placement and resists in situ distortion and has putty-like handling and stickiness

At (4 °C) the gel is flowable and easy to mix with graft but becomes more viscous with body temperature.

OsteoBiol TSV Gel is particularly beneficial in cases where there is little bony support around the defect, for example, lateral augmentation, sockets with a compromised buccal wall, dehiscences and periodontal one and two wall defects.

It also contains heterologous type I and III collagen gel with polyunsaturated fat acids diluted in aqueous solution that contains a biocompatible synthetic copolymer that gives it its gelification kinetics. It is rapidly resorbed.

All OsteoBiol products are of Porcine or Equine origin. Clinical results show a clear superiority of natural products over synthetics. Animal bone, particularly porcine, has similar morphologically to human bone unlike synthesised products.

Packages TSV Gel is available only with Gen-Os. Sizes are: 0.5 g Gen-Os with 0.5 cc Syringe of TSV Gel – £101.00 and 1 g Gen-Os with 1.0 cc syringe of TSV Gel – £153.00.
