Neuroinflammation

TCA cycle deficiency in multiple sclerosis

Impaired tricarboxylic acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation cause reduced energy content in neurons upon neuroinflammation and contribute to axonal degeneration in multiple sclerosis.
