Improved timing synchronization using change-point detection demonstrated on the 2 m single-channel ‘THz Torch’ wireless link field trial. Compared to Fig. 2c,d, the expected noiseless signal (in orange) is produced by mismatched emitter and sensor parameters. The coarse time delay \(\delta _{tm}\) decided by the template-matching phase is indicated (red dashed line).
