Simulated tomogram of a dentin slab for perpendicular polarisation. \(N=160\) wavelengths and \({N}_{y}=45\) scan positions have been calculated. Furthermore, \(\varepsilon ={10}^{-8}\) and the grid resolution used is about \(\tfrac{{\lambda }_{0}}{13.5}\). The mean free path for perpendicular polarisation inside the slab is about 38.1 μm, meaning that the quality of the beam focus is decreased at high depths inside the medium.
