Activity of L-phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) (A), tyrosine ammonia lyase (TAL) (B) and concentration of phenolic compounds (C) during 15 days of water deficit in the maize hybrid BRS 1030 after the application of chitosan and its derivatives. Means followed by the same uppercase letter for treatments with 1 day of water deficit and lowercase for treatments with 15 days of water deficit do not differ by the Scott-Knott test at 5% probability (P ≤ 0.05).
