  1. The table shows the results of a Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). P values are the result of the Wilks Lambda test comparing the variation in the relative abundance of all 60 bacterial OTUs (dependent variables) between clinical groups (independent variables e.g. gender). Too few patients had received pre-hospital antibiotics to perform a valid statistical test.
