Human EAc. The EAc (magenta) encompasses the BST (encircling the anterior commissure) and the Ce (within the dorsal portion of the amygdala proper). The BST and the Ce are anatomically interconnected via the ventral amygdalofugal pathway and the stria terminalis, as indicated by deterministic tractography (gold).
