Forelimb anatomical network modules of common chimpanzees, bonobos and humans. While in humans there are only two modules related to the movements of the digits (dark orange: of digits 1–3, light green: of digits 4–5), in chimpanzees there are many more: four (dark orange: of thumb; light blue: of digits 2–3; magenta: of digit 4; light green: of digit 5) in bonobos, and six (dark orange: of thumb; red: of digit 2; brown: of digit 3; dark magenta: of digit 4; light green and dark blue: of digit 5) in common chimpanzees.
