NETs formation is induced by both LPS and HS. Animals were intraperitoneally administrated LPS (35 mg/kg) (A and B) or received hemorrhage (30% blood loss) without any treatment (C and D). Animals from Sham group received all procedures except cannulation and hemorrhage. CitH3 protein serves as a positive control in panel D. Blood samples were harvested 12 hours post LPS or HS. The double stranded DNA (A and C) was dramatically elevated after LPS and HS insult compared to DMSO and Sham group, respectively. CitH3 was significantly increased after LPS insult (B) while was un-detectable after HS (D). Data are shown as mean ± standard deviation (SD) (n = 4–6/group).
