“It’s one of the things we do most weekends,” says Harvard Medical School researcher Peter Sorger about the hiking and skiing he does with family. His Austrian father introduced him to both pastimes at age three or four. “You sort of go away with a muddled mind and you come home with much greater clarity,“ he says.
