Climate change makes the challenge of certain tropical ailments even tougher.

Crucially, she also highlighted the risks posed by diseases like dengue fever, which is carried by mosquitoes and is predicted to expand further into the US as temperatures creep upwards. “Climate change is expected to alter the geographic range, seasonal distribution and abundance of disease vectors,” she testified at the February hearing.
