The Original Article was published on 08 April 2020

Correction to: Nature https://doi.org/10.1038/s41586-020-2161-8Published online 08 April 2020

In this Article, author Pengchao Zhang should have been associated with the affiliation ‘CAS Key Laboratory of Bio-Inspired Materials and Interfacial Science, CAS Center for Excellence in Nanoscience, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China’, instead of with ‘Key Laboratory of Bioinspired Smart Interfacial Science and Technology of Ministry of Education, School of Chemistry, Beihang University, Beijing, China’. Affiliations 2–4 have been renumbered accordingly.  In addition, the order of authors Mingjie Liu and Lei Jiang in the author list should have been reversed (with Lei Jiang appearing as the last author). The original Article has been corrected online.
