Post-infection cognitive deficits occur and may persist in many individuals following COVID-19, but the pathophysiology underlying such deficits is unclear. In a new study, Taquet et al. identified two different blood biomarker profiles in people hospitalized for COVID-19 that predicted cognitive deficits 6 and 12 months later.
