Author Correction: The immunopathogenesis of seropositive rheumatoid arthritis: from triggering to targeting

The following errors are present in the published version of this Review article:

• On page 1, first column, line 17 of the introduction, ‘toco-stimulation’ should instead read as ‘co-stimulation’.

• On page 1, left-hand margin, in the glossary definition for ‘CTLA4–Ig’, the text ‘binds to the co-stimulatory receptors CD80 and CD86 on effector T cells to prevent their activation’ should instead read as ‘binds to the co-stimulatory receptors CD80 and CD86 on antigen-presenting cells to prevent T cell activation’.

• In Figure 2, in the panel labelled ‘Maturation’, the CD40–CD40L interaction should be reversed such that CD40 is expressed by the B cell and CD40L is expressed by the T cell.

• In Figure 3, the chemical structure for citrulline is wrong; the double bond to NH₂ should instead be a double bond to O₂.

• Also in Figure 3, for the interaction between the B cell and T cell, the CD40–CD40L interaction should be reversed such that CD40 is expressed by the B cell and CD40L is expressed by the T cell.

• In Figure 6, for the interaction between the B cell and T cell, the CD40–CD40L interaction should be reversed such that CD40 is expressed by the B cell and CD40L is expressed by the T cell.
