Stating your age is relatively trivial for most people. Determining how well you are ageing is a different matter. When does ageing begin? Is it a disease? Is it reversible or can it be slowed down? These are tricky questions with no definite answers, even within the ageing research community. Something that is easier to agree on is the need for increased healthspan to accompany any increases in lifespan.
