A new study published in Gut described a novel protumorigenic IL-17A-producing CD8+ T cell subtype (Tc17) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). “We show for the first time the pathogenic involvement of Tc17 cells in PDAC,” say Veronika Lutz and Magdalena Huber, first co-author and corresponding author of the study, respectively.
