The originally published article contained an error in the section titled ‘Genetic and epigenetic elements in EOCRC’, which stated that guidelines recommend screening for colorectal cancer in a particular group of individuals at 70 years of age. This has been corrected in the HTML and PDF versions of the manuscript to state that the recommended screening age for this group of individuals is 40 years of age.
