Circadian rhythms can influence the innate and adaptive immune systems; however, their effects on anti-cancer immune responses are unknown. Wang et al. now demonstrate that the anti-tumour effects of CD8+ T cells are directly influenced by circadian rhythms in dendritic cells (DCs), with implications for optimizing cancer immunotherapies.
