We appreciate the interest of Yoshida et al. in our paper and thank them for their comments [1]. As suggested, we calculated the reduction in IOP from baseline at each visit and found that the differences between the two groups fail to disprove the null hypothesis. (Table 1)

None of the participants developed late-onset bleb leak (leakage beyond 3 months post-surgery) [2], blebitis, endophthalmitis, corneal epithelial toxicity or hypotony maculopathy. Participant 10 (injection group), developed a chronic hypotony (IOP < 6 mm Hg for more than 3 months) [3], from day 30 that recovered on the last post-operative visit.
