A denture disaster

When a new patient attends the practice booked in as a 'lost denture', the last thing you expect to hear is that they've swallowed it! On first consideration one would not expect a catastrophic outcome, however, this case highlights the risks that are associated with wearing a partial denture. I aim to raise awareness of these risks and how initial management can have a major impact upon patient outcome.
