DCA restores the chemosensitivity of 5-FU-resistant CRC cells by shifting glucose metabolism. a HCT-8/F and HCT116/F cells were treated with 15 mM and 20 mM DCA, respectively, for 24 h. Glucose consumption, lactate production, and glycolysis of CRC cells were measured. b GlycoPER was measured in real time injection of 15/20 mM DCA, 0.5 μM Rot + AA, and 50 mM 2-DG using the Seahorse XF instrument. c, d HCT-8/F and HCT116/F cells were treated with DCA (15 mM)/5-FU (50 μg/ml) and DCA (20 mM)/5-FU (25 μg/ml), respectively. Colony formation assay was determined by crystal violet staining. Cell apoptosis was measured by Annexin V/PI staining. The results of three independent experiments are shown as the mean ± SEM.
