We read with great interest the article by Tao et al. showing an intimate relationship between obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and increased risk of sarcopenia/sarcopenic obesity (SO) [1]. In this context, we would like to take this opportunity to highlight two major research avenues in the study of sarcopenia/SO.
