Abstract
Copolyamides based on poly(m-phenylene isophthalamide) (PMIA) and poly(p-phenylene terephthalamide) (PPTA), to which 1,6-diaminohexane units were regularly inserted every 7 or 9 phenylene monomer units were synthesized. Solubility of the copolyamides was found to be similar to the parent homopolymers PMIA or PPTA.
