Abstract
XPS, TGA, and conductivity measurement were performed on PPy(NO3−) films as prepared and those after treatment in a neutral aqueous solution. A characteristic decrease of conductivity accompanied by ca. 5% weight loss was observed for PPy(NO3−) film as prepared in the temperature range of ca. 105—130°C. Comparison with the results of PPy(NO3−) films after treatment in a neutral solution offers further support for the existence of a protonated structure in the PPy(NO3−) as prepared.
