Abstract
A scheme is introduced for generating a stress strain curve at any constant strain rate, temperature, pressure, in tension, shear or compression, and the annealing history, from a set of experimental stress-strain data by parametric scaling. The parameters are determined for each polymer empirically first, but their study reveals much in terms of the structure-properties in glassy and crystalline polymers.
