Abstract
Two kinds of amphiphilic graft copolymers, poly(methyl methacrylate)-g-poly(2-dimethylethylammoniumethyl methacrylate), by replacing the backbone and branch components were prepared by using macromonomer method. The graft copolymers formed micelles to solubilize bibenzyl in water-acetone mixed solvent. The solution properties of these amphiphilic graft copolymers were remarkably changed by their molecular structures. Surface property of poly(methyl methacrylate) films containing these graft copolymers was also examined by measuring contact angles for water.
