Search for High Frequency Optical Variability in X-Ray Sources

Abstract

IN late 1970, the X-ray satellite, Uhuru, was launched by the X-ray group at American Science and Engineering, Inc. Numerous strong sources were discovered, some of which have been published1. About 25% of the observed sources have possible optical identifications.
